Lowongan Kerja Senior Project Manager di Samara Torok Aik Belek Montong Ajan Selong Belanak Praya Barat Daya Lombok Tengah NTB (Rascal Republic) - NesiaNet
Role Overview
This is not a project management role for someone who needs a stable corporate ecosystem to do their best work. As Senior Project Manager for Samara's Construction division on the island of Lombok, you will be the engine behind delivering high-end hospitality and mixed-use builds in an environment where cement trucks get stuck on dirt roads, suppliers disappear mid-project, and your problem-solving has to be faster than the next monsoon. You will hold international luxury construction standards — think Hyatt-grade finish quality and documentation discipline — while operating in a frontier market where improvisation and grit are daily requirements. If you've built beautiful things in hard places and loved every brutal minute of it, this role was written for you.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent construction projects across Lombok — from initial site mobilisation through to luxury-grade handover — ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are never traded against each other.
Develop and maintain rigorous project schedules, risk registers, and cost-tracking documentation to Samara's international SOP standards, even when conditions on the ground are shifting daily.
Lead and mentor a cross-functional site team of local contractors, subcontractors, and specialist tradespeople — building their capability while holding them accountable to process and finish-quality standards.
Manage procurement and supply chain logistics in an island environment with no guarantee of delivery windows — building redundant supplier networks, maintaining strategic buffer stock, and engineering creative solutions when materials don't arrive.
Conduct daily site walks and formal QA/QC inspections, documenting non-conformances and driving immediate corrective action to protect the luxury standard of every Samara build.
Act as the primary liaison between the Construction department, Design, Operations, and ownership — translating site realities into clear reporting without sugar-coating challenges or timelines.
Anticipate and manage permit, regulatory, and community relations requirements specific to Lombok and the broader NTB province, maintaining productive relationships with local government bodies and village stakeholders.
Drive value engineering exercises when supply constraints, cost overruns, or design changes threaten project viability — proposing alternatives that preserve design intent without compromising structural or experiential quality.
Establish and enforce site safety standards that meet international benchmarks, adapting protocols to local workforce norms and ensuring consistent compliance across all active sites.
Contribute to post-project reviews and the continuous improvement of Samara's construction playbook — what worked, what broke, and how we build smarter next time.
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of project management experience in construction, with at least 3 of those years spent delivering projects in remote, developing, or island environments where infrastructure and supply chains were genuinely unreliable.
Demonstrated track record of delivering mid-to-large scale construction projects (hospitality, resort, or high-end residential preferred) on time and on budget in frontier or emerging market conditions.
Proven ability to read and interrogate full construction drawing sets, structural drawings, MEP documentation, and BOQs — not just manage people who do.
Experience managing Indonesian subcontractor ecosystems or equivalent developing-market contractor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
Fluency in project management fundamentals: critical path scheduling, earned value management, risk mitigation planning, and formal change order processes.
Willingness and ability to be permanently onsite in Lombok — this role does not operate from Jakarta, Bali, or anywhere else.
Nice to Have
Formal qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
Previous experience delivering luxury hospitality or resort construction projects with internationally branded operators (Hyatt, Marriott, Four Seasons, or equivalent).
Working knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia — operationally functional communication with site teams and local government is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with NTB provincial permitting frameworks, IMB/PBG processes, and local government stakeholder dynamics.
Experience implementing or working within an established construction QMS (Quality Management System) tied to a luxury brand standard.
Background in sustainable or low-impact building practices relevant to sensitive coastal or ecological environments.
