Working Location : Site Based - West Sumbawa

Working Schedule : Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

Responsible for planning, managing, and supervising mechanical maintenance and repair activities for Flotation, CCD, Lime Plant, Water Distribution systems (Thickener, Sea Water, Fresh Water), Fuel Pump, Coal Conveyor, and Pumping Concentrate systems at Port and Utility areas. Ensures all mechanical systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably to support production and distribution processes.

Some of your duties will include:

Main Responsibility (Operation/Production/Technical/Projects/Administration)

•            Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance activities for Flotation, CCD, and Lime Plant systems, including water distribution systems (Thickener, Sea Water, and Fresh Water).

•            Manage maintenance activities for fuel pumps and coal conveyor systems in the port area.

•            Ensure the reliability and availability of pumping concentrate systems throughout the production process.

•            Manage and supervise maintenance of thickeners, lime plants, and water treatment systems for sea water and fresh water.

•            Coordinate with Operations and Production teams to maintain stable operation of water distribution and pumping concentrate systems.

•            Manage maintenance activities and system upgrades for port utility systems and coal conveyor transportation systems.

•            Develop and implement shutdown plans and preventive maintenance schedules for all related mechanical systems.

•            Lead, supervise, and coordinate contractors and internal teams involved in mechanical maintenance activities.

•            Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable SOPs, JSAs, and HSE standards.

•            Ensure appropriate spare parts are used for mechanical maintenance and manage critical spare parts inventory and procurement.

•            Prepare reports on mechanical system performance, downtime, and improvement recommendations.

•            Other duties as assigned.

Authorities (The right to make decisions or take actions in accordance with responsibilities and position within the organization)

•            Authorize and direct mechanical maintenance activities for Flotation, CCD, Lime Plant, and water distribution systems.

•            Approve maintenance execution and resource allocation for fuel pump and coal conveyor systems at the port area.

•            Take corrective actions to ensure reliability and availability of pumping concentrate systems across the production process.

•            Approve maintenance strategies and execution for thickeners, lime plants, and water treatment systems.

•            Coordinate operational priorities and maintenance activities with Operations and Production teams to ensure system stability.

•            Approve maintenance programs, upgrades, and improvement initiatives for port utility and coal conveyor systems.

•            Approve shutdown plans, preventive maintenance schedules, and execution strategies for mechanical systems.

•            Direct and evaluate contractor performance and internal mechanical maintenance team execution.

•            Enforce compliance with SOPs, JSAs, and HSE standards, including the authority to stop unsafe work.

•            Approve critical spare part usage, inventory levels, and procurement requirements for mechanical systems.

•            Review and endorse mechanical performance reports, downtime analysis, and improvement recommendations.

•            Authorize and make operational decisions related to mechanical maintenance execution, contractor coordination, and emergency response situations.

 What skills and experience do you need?

Education       

•            Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Experience     

•            Minimum 8–12 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within fixed plant environments, preferably in mining, heavy industry, or process plants.

•            Minimum 3–5 years of experience at Supervisor or Superintendent level in mechanical maintenance.

•            Proven experience in Flotation, CCD, Lime Plant, and water distribution systems (sea water, fresh water, thickeners).

•            Experience in fuel pump systems, coal conveyor systems, and pumping concentrate operations.

Technical Competency         

•            Be able to lead and supervise mechanical maintenance activities for Flotation, CCD, Lime Plant, and water distribution systems.

•            Be able to manage maintenance of fuel pumps and coal conveyor systems in port operations.

•            Be able to ensure reliability and continuous availability of pumping concentrate systems throughout production processes.

•            Be able to manage and supervise maintenance of thickeners, lime plants, and sea water and fresh water treatment systems.

•            Be able to coordinate effectively with Operations and Production teams to maintain stable system operations.

•            Be able to plan and execute maintenance and system upgrades for port utilities and coal conveyor transportation systems.

•            Be able to develop and implement shutdown plans and preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems.

•            Be able to supervise and control contractor and internal team activities related to mechanical maintenance.

•            Be able to apply and enforce SOPs, JSAs, and HSE standards in all mechanical maintenance activities.

•            Be able to manage spare parts usage, critical inventory control, and procurement for mechanical systems.

•            Be able to analyze and report mechanical system performance, downtime trends, and continuous improvement initiatives.

•            Be able to read and interpret P&ID, mechanical drawings, and technical schematics to support mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

•            Be able to utilize CMMS systems (SAP, Pronto, Maximo, or equivalent) to plan, monitor, and report mechanical maintenance activities.
