Working Location : Site Based -  West Sumbawa

Working Schedule : Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

Responsible for planning, executing, and controlling conveyor maintenance, repair, belt splicing, and belt replacement activities in the fixed plant area. This role ensures that conveyor operations run safely, reliably, and support production targets.

Some of your duties will include:

Main Responsibility (Operation/Production/Technical/Projects/Administration)

•            Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective conveyor maintenance.

•            Lead and supervise belt splicing (hot and cold splicing) and belt replacement work.

•            Ensure the availability and reliability of the conveyor system.

•            Develop and manage conveyor shutdown plans and activities.

•            Supervise and evaluate the performance of conveyor and splicing contractors.

•            Conduct root cause analysis of belt and conveyor failures.

•            Ensure compliance with SOPs, JSAs, Permit to Work, and HSE standards.

•            Coordinate with Operations, Production, and Engineering teams.

•            Manage conveyor spare parts strategy, including critical and insurance spares.

•            Other duties as assigned.

•            Authorities (The right to make decisions or take actions in accordance with responsibilities and position within the organization)

•            Authorize and allocate resources (manpower, tools, and time) for preventive, predictive, and corrective conveyor maintenance activities.

•            Authorize execution methods and oversee quality and safety controls for belt splicing (hot and cold) and belt replacement work.

•            Authorize corrective actions and prioritization to maintain conveyor system availability and reliability.

•            Authorize preparation and implementation of conveyor shutdown plans, including scheduling and work execution arrangements.

•            Authorize contractor work scopes, monitor contractor performance, and validate contractor deliverables for conveyor and splicing works.

•            Authorize root cause analysis activities, including data collection, investigation processes, and recommendation implementation for recurring failures.

•            Stop or suspend work and enforce compliance when SOPs, JSAs, Permit to Work, or HSE standards are not met.

•            Authorize cross-functional coordination actions, including operational alignment with Operations, Production, and Engineering teams.

•            Authorize identification of critical/insurance spares, inventory planning, and spare parts strategy decisions for conveyor systems.

What skills and experience do you need?

Education       

•            Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.

Experience     

•            Experience in leading and mentoring teams and an ability to provide leadership and development of supervisory staff within a maintenance, mineral processing facility, supply chain processes or heavy industry

•            Preferred or Specialized : A proven track record of safety management

•            Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement

Technical Competency         

•            Be able to manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for belt conveyor systems in a fixed plant environment.

•            Be able to lead and supervise hot splicing, cold splicing, and belt replacement work in accordance with quality and safety requirements.

•            Be able to monitor and improve conveyor availability and reliability through performance tracking and maintenance execution quality.

•            Be able to plan and execute conveyor shutdown activities, including work sequencing, resource readiness, and risk control.

•            Be able to supervise and evaluate contractor performance, including work quality, safety compliance, productivity, and deliverables.

•            Be able to conduct root cause analysis for belt and conveyor failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

•            Be able to enforce SOPs, JSAs, Permit to Work, and HSE standards, including LOTO and high-risk work controls.

•            Be able to coordinate maintenance and operational interfaces effectively with Operations, Production, and Engineering teams.

•            Be able to manage conveyor spare parts strategy, including critical and insurance spares identification, planning, and control.

•            Be able to operate CMMS systems (SAP, Pronto, Maximo, etc.).

Certification  

•            Valid K3 / Occupational Health and Safety certification relevant to industrial maintenance activities.

•            SMKP certification.

•            ISO 45001 awareness or internal auditor certification.

•            Conveyor splicing or belt handling certification from recognized manufacturers or service providers.
