Working Location : Site Based - West Sumbawa
Working Schedule : Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
The Coordinator – Instrumentation (Fixed Plant) is responsible for overseeing all instrumentation maintenance activities across fixed plant facilities within the copper & gold processing operations. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of all instrumentation systems, including measurement, control, automation, and monitoring equipment.
The Coordinator will supervise technicians, plan maintenance schedules, troubleshoot complex instrumentation issues, and support continuous improvement to maintain high plant availability.
Some of your duties will include:
1. Instrumentation Maintenance & Reliability
Lead, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for instrumentation systems in fixed plant operations (crushing, grinding, flotation, dewatering, tailings, etc.).
Ensure availability and reliability of instruments such as flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, analyzers, and control valves.
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on instrumentation failures and process interruptions.
Ensure calibration, testing, and certification of instruments according to standards.
2. Team Supervision & Coordination
Supervise instrumentation technicians and contractors to ensure safe and efficient work execution.
Provide hands-on guidance, technical support, and daily task assignment to the instrumentation team.
Conduct daily toolbox meetings and monitor adherence to maintenance plans.
3. Planning & Reporting
Collaborate with Planning & Scheduling teams to develop weekly and monthly maintenance plans.
Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS (SAP/Oracle/Pronto or similar).
Prepare reports on performance, downtime, reliability, and improvement actions.
4. Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce strict compliance with mining safety standards and procedures.
Participate in safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
Ensure all instrumentation works follow environmental, quality, and safety regulations.
5. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
Support automation upgrades, control system improvements, and instrumentation modernization projects.
Provide recommendations for spare parts optimization and inventory management
What skills and experience do you need?
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or equivalent.
Diploma graduates with extensive experience are also encouraged to apply.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years experience in instrumentation maintenance within mining, mineral processing, oil & gas, or heavy industrial operations.
Strong exposure to fixed plant systems (concentrator, mill, flotation, crushing, etc.).
Experience leading or coordinating a maintenance team is preferred.
