Working Location : Site Based -  West Sumbawa

Working Schedule : Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

The Coordinator – Process Mechanical is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing mechanical maintenance activities across Flotation, Utilities, and Filter Plant areas within the copper and gold processing operations.

This role ensures mechanical equipment reliability, supports continuous improvement, optimizes maintenance execution, and leads a team of technicians to maintain high plant availability, safety, and operational performance.

Some of your duties will include:

1. Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability

Coordinate and lead preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for mechanical equipment in Flotation, Utility, and Filter Plant areas.

Ensure mechanical integrity of:

Float cells, agitators, pumps, blowers

Thickeners, pipelines & launders

Air compressors, water pumps, cooling systems

Pressure filters, vacuum filters, filter presses

Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures and unplanned downtime.

Review equipment performance trends and recommend improvement actions.

2. Planning & Execution

Work closely with maintenance planners to prepare weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.

Prioritize work orders, allocate labor, and ensure material & spare parts availability.

Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently according to SOPs and OEM standards.

Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation.

3. Team Leadership & Coordination

Supervise mechanical technicians and contractors during daily work activities.

Conduct daily pre-start meetings, risk assessments, JSA, and work briefings.

Provide hands-on technical guidance and continuous coaching.

Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.

4. Safety & Compliance

Lead and enforce strict compliance with mining safety policies, lock-out/tag-out, and isolation procedures.

Participate in safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.

Ensure all mechanical work meets environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

5. Continuous Improvement & Optimization

Identify opportunities for mechanical reliability improvements and cost reduction.

Support plant modification projects, equipment upgrades, and reliability engineering initiatives.

Contribute to spare parts optimization and asset management enhancements.

What skills and experience do you need?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.

Diploma or technical school graduates with strong experience are welcome to apply.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years experience in mechanical maintenance within mining, mineral processing, oil & gas, or heavy industrial plants.

Must have strong hands‑on experience with mechanical systems in:

Flotation plant

Utility systems

Filter plant operations

Experience supervising a maintenance team is strongly preferred.

Technical Competencies

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, agitators, compressors, blowers).

Understanding of thickeners, float cells, pipelines, and slurry systems.

Familiarity with filter presses, disc filters, vacuum systems.

CMMS proficiency (SAP/Pronto/Oracle).

Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
