Working Location : Site Based -  West Sumbawa

Working Schedule : Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

The Coordinator – Rebuild, Fabrication Shop, and Lubrication is responsible for managing and supervising mechanical rebuilds, fabrication activities, and lubrication programs across fixed plant operations. This role ensures maintenance quality, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and efficient execution of workshop and lubrication activities.

The coordinator leads multiple work teams (rebuild, fabrication, welding, machining, lubrication) and collaborates closely with planning, operations, and reliability engineering to support plant performance.

Some of your duties will include:

1. Rebuild & Overhaul Management

Plan, coordinate, and supervise rebuild activities for pumps, gearboxes, valves, crushers, mills, and other mechanical components.

Ensure all rebuild work meets OEM standards, tolerances, and quality control requirements.

Review inspection reports, repair scopes, and testing results.

Improve rebuild processes to extend equipment life and reduce costs.

2. Fabrication & Workshop Operations

Oversee fabrication shop daily operations including welding, cutting, machining, and structural repairs.

Coordinate fabrication work orders for plant modifications, structures, chutes, pipelines, guards, platforms, and supports.

Ensure all fabricated components comply with engineering drawings, safety standards, and mechanical integrity requirements.

Maintain availability of workshop tools, machines, and consumables.

3. Lubrication Program Management

Supervise lubrication technicians and ensure execution of PM lubrication tasks.

Monitor oil analysis results and perform corrective actions as required.

Manage lubrication schedules for pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment.

Implement lubrication best practices to improve equipment reliability and prevent failures.

4. Planning, Coordination & Reporting

Work with the planner to prepare weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.

Prioritize work orders based on operational needs and equipment criticality.

Ensure spare parts, materials, and consumables are available before job execution.

Maintain accurate records in CMMS (SAP/Pronto/Oracle).

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

5. Safety, Compliance & Quality Control

Enforce strict compliance with mining safety regulations, isolation (LOTO), work permit systems, and hot work procedures.

Conduct toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Ensure welding and fabrication meet QA/QC standards (NDT, visual inspection, measurement checks).

Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.

6. Leadership & Team Development

Supervise and mentor rebuild technicians, welders, fabricators, machinists, and lubrication teams.

Evaluate team performance and identify training needs.

Promote teamwork, accountability, and high work quality across all maintenance areas.

What skills and experience do you need?

Education

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Mechanics, Fabrication/Welding Technology, or equivalent technical field.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years experience in mechanical maintenance within mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial or oil & gas environment.

Strong knowledge of:

Mechanical rebuilds (pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment)

Fabrication & welding (SMAW, GTAW, MIG, structural fabrication)

Lubrication programs and oil analysis

Experience supervising technical or workshop teams is preferred.

Technical Competencies

Ability to read engineering drawings, weld maps, and mechanical schematics.

Familiarity with QA/QC welding standards, NDT methods, and repair procedures.

Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and lubrication systems.

Proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP/Pronto/Oracle).

Strong troubleshooting and mechanical diagnostic skills.
