Conduct field sampling of air, water, soil, and other environmental media according to established protocols and safety standards.
Set up, calibrate, and maintain monitoring equipment such as air quality monitors, noise meters, water sampling devices, and data loggers.
Perform routine inspections and field measurements to support environmental impact assessments and compliance monitoring.
Assist in the collection, labeling, and transport of samples to laboratories while maintaining chain-of-custody documentation.
Document field activities meticulously through field notes, photographs, and electronic reporting tools.
Support environmental engineers and scientists with site-specific data collection and troubleshooting of field instruments.
Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during all field operations.
Communicate effectively with project managers and local stakeholders to coordinate site access and logistical arrangements.
Contribute to the preparation of preliminary field reports and data summaries for project teams.
Required qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in environmental science, engineering technology, or related discipline preferred.
1–3 years of experience in environmental field sampling, monitoring, or technician roles.
Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and sampling standards applicable in Indonesia preferred.
Familiarity with field environmental instruments and equipment calibration best practices.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting field data.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English communication skills are a plus.
Willing to travel frequently to remote field sites within Indonesia as required.
Preferred qualifications
Certifications in environmental sampling or monitoring (e.g., air, water, noise)
Experience with GPS data collection and use of digital field data systems.
Basic understanding of environmental compliance reporting and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
