Job Summary:

We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead and support all maintenance and engineering operations at Mad Monkey Nusa Lembongan. You’ll ensure that the hostel runs smoothly—keeping our buildings, systems, and equipment in top shape while minimizing downtime. From routine maintenance to emergency fixes, you’ll be the go-to person to make sure everything works as it should.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations across the property

Perform preventive maintenance checks and repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems

Monitor and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner

Maintain maintenance logs and schedules to ensure compliance and record-keeping

Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate purchasing with management

Lead small repair or renovation projects as required

Coordinate with external contractors when needed

Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times (including fire safety, emergency lighting, and equipment compliance)

Provide training and daily oversight to maintenance staff (if applicable)

Support sustainability initiatives and energy-saving practices

Work closely with other departments (housekeeping, bar, reception) to support smooth operations

Requirements:

Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in hospitality or property management

Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building systems

Hands-on problem solver with the ability to diagnose and fix issues independently

Supervisory or team lead experience is a plus

Strong communication and time management skills

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed

Physically fit and comfortable working in a tropical, outdoor environment

Basic English proficiency required; Bahasa Indonesia fluency preferred
