Scope of Work:
Coordinate all commissioning activities related to the crushing plant (Primary Crusher, Secondary Crusher, Screening, Conveying Systems).
Ensure safe execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of crushing plant equipment and systems.
Collaborate closely with EPC contractor, OEM vendors, and site operation & maintenance teams.
Develop commissioning procedures, method statements, inspection and test plans for crusher systems.
Lead and manage crusher commissioning team (technicians, vendors) during cold and hot commissioning.
Ensure completion of punch list items related to crusher areas in collaboration with construction and engineering teams.
Develop operational readiness plans, including staffing, training, and maintenance readiness for crushing operations.
Conduct performance testing and reliability runs, troubleshoot issues during start-up phase.
Ensure all activities are in compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project quality requirements.
Support handover of crushing plant systems to Operations team, ensuring complete documentation and "as-built" records.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead field commissioning activities (e.g., energization, mechanical run tests, load tests) for crusher systems.
Validate installation works against design specifications and standards.
Drive the safe execution of Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during commissioning phases.
Interface between commissioning team and EPC construction team to prioritize and sequence commissioning activities.
Manage interface between crushing system commissioning and other plant areas (grinding, conveying, stockpiling).
Identify and mitigate risks associated with crusher commissioning and start-up activities.
Plan and manage manpower, vendor resources, and special tools/equipment needed for crusher commissioning.
Ensure timely reporting of commissioning progress, issues, punch items, and readiness status.
Facilitate training sessions for Operations & Maintenance teams regarding crusher systems and SOPs.
Coordinate spare parts readiness, lubrication schedules, and preventative maintenance plans pre-startup.
Minimum Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mining plant operation and/or commissioning, with at least 5 years specific to crushers (primary, secondary, tertiary) and associated systems.
Commissioning Experience
Mandatory experience in leading or supervising crusher commissioning activities in major mining EPC projects.
Technical Skills
Deep knowledge of crusher systems (Jaw Crusher, Gyratory Crusher, Cone Crusher, Screening, Conveyors), commissioning methodologies, troubleshooting, vibration analysis, lubrication systems, and mechanical drives.
Leadership Skills
Strong leadership and coordination skills; experience managing multidisciplinary teams including contractors and vendors during commissioning phases.
Safety Knowledge
Familiar with mining safety regulations, commissioning risk assessments, permit to work systems, and Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) programs.
Language
Proficient in English (oral and written); Bahasa Indonesia proficiency is an advantage.
Other Requirements
- Able to read and interpret P&IDs, SLDs, technical manuals, and construction drawings.
- Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
- Willing to be based at remote project site during commissioning and early operations phase.
