This role includes supporting troubleshooting, loop checking, functional testing, logic validation, tuning, and handover to operations. The engineer will work closely with OEMs, EPC contractors, vendors, instrumentation, and electrical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and update control system design documents (cause & effect diagrams, logic diagrams, control narratives, I/O lists, etc.).
Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.
Develop detailed commissioning procedures for control systems, automation, and associated interfaces.
Lead loop checking, logic testing, function testing, and interlock testing activities.
Coordinate the integration between field instrumentation, MCCs, VFDs, safety systems (SIS/ESD), and the main control systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve control logic, communication network, and system issues during commissioning.
Support tuning and optimization of PID loops and advanced control strategies.
Manage configuration, backup, and documentation for all control systems during commissioning.
Ensure cybersecurity hardening and compliance for industrial control systems.
