The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily housekeeping operations, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across guest rooms and public areas, and ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment for guests. The role also involves leading the housekeeping team, monitoring room readiness, and ensuring all tasks meet the resort's service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation meet the resort's standards.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they are properly cleaned and maintained.
Coordinate room readiness and housekeeping requests with the Front Office and other departments.
Assign daily tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure sufficient housekeeping coverage.
Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain service quality and productivity.
Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen, amenities, and cleaning materials to ensure proper stock levels and usage.
Report maintenance issues, lost and found items, and any room-related concerns to the relevant departments.
Ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and laundry operations in accordance with safety procedures.
Maintain housekeeping records, room inspection reports, and inventory updates.
Support effective resource management and minimize unnecessary waste, considering the resort's remote island operations.
Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Able to manage priorities and work effectively in a remote island environment.
Responsible, organized, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Willing to be stationed at LPI Gili Lontar.
