WE ARE HIRING – SHADOW TEACHER
Mandalika Intercultural School (MIS) is currently looking for a Shadow Teacher to support a 7-year-old Grade 1 student in our school community.
Location: Kuta, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara
Working Days: Monday–Friday (WFO)
About the Role
The Shadow Teacher will provide one-on-one support to the student throughout the school day, working closely with the classroom teacher and school team to support the student’s learning, participation, communication, social interaction, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individual support during lessons and school activities.
2. Assist the student in following classroom instructions and routines.
3. Support learning engagement, communication, social interaction, and independence.
4. Observe and communicate the student’s progress and challenges.
5. Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and relevant school staff.
6. Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
7. Follow the school’s policies and safeguarding procedures.
Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Shadow Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Experience working with primary school-aged children.
3. Good spoken and written English.
4. Patient, caring, responsible, and professional.
5. Strong communication and observation skills.
6. Able to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
7. A background in Education, Psychology, Special Education, or Child Development is an advantage.
