Working Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
Some of your duties will include:
Ensure safety, reliability, and continuous operation of the SWRO desalination plant.
Supervise daily operational activities and shift-based desalination personnel.
Maintain water production and quality in accordance with operational and compliance requirements.
Support integrated operation and maintenance execution within the Utilities team.
Operations & Process Control
Supervise daily operation of pre-treatment, SWRO, CIP (Clean-in-Place), and auxiliary systems.
Ensure production capacity, availability, and operational targets are met.
Monitor and control key parameters (flow, pressure, conductivity, recovery, dosing).
Coordinate plant startup, shutdown, backwash, and CIP activities per SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidance.
Ensure accurate shift handover, logbooks, and operational records.
Maintenance & Asset Care
Coordinate and execute routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure inspections, condition monitoring, and basic maintenance of pumps, membranes, filters, valves, and instrumentation.
Support maintenance planning, work prioritization, and spare parts readiness within IFMS Maintenance.
Ensure maintenance activities and equipment conditions are properly recorded and reported.
Water Quality & Compliance
Ensure routine water quality monitoring and data review.
Verify produced water meets required quality specifications and compliance criteria.
Support compliance reporting related to water production and plant performance.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science or related technical field.
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in in water treatment, desalination, or industrial utilities operation.
Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, basic reverse osmosis (RO) desalination operation, utility pumping and distribution systems, chemical dosing, water quality monitoring principles, and preventive maintenance coordination practices with Supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of SWRO desalination and pre‑treatment processes, basic process control (PLC/HMI) concepts, chemical handling and water quality monitoring, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Hands‑on experience operating reverse osmosis (RO) or large‑scale desalination plants, with proven exposure to water treatment plant or industrial utilities environments.
Familiarity with OEM systems, including commissioning and hand‑over experience, combined with strong awareness of water quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Strong reporting and cross‑department coordination skills, with proven experience leading shift‑based operational teams.
Demonstrated leadership and shift team coordination skills, with strong practical troubleshooting, sound decision‑making ability, and clear oral and written communication skills.
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
