Working Location : Site Based -  West Sumbawa

Working Schedule : Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

To lead and coordinate maintenance and technical response activities for Fixed Process Plant equipment, ensuring rapid and effective handling of unplanned events and breakdowns, safe execution of maintenance work, optimal equipment reliability, and continuous improvement in plant performance in accordance with safety, operational, and environmental standards.

Some of your duties will include:

Main Responsibility (Operation/Production/Technical/Projects/Administration)

1. Response to Unplanned Issues & Breakdown

•            Lead the team in responding to unplanned issues or breakdowns occurring in the Fixed Process Plant area, including major equipment such as:

•            Primary Gyratory Crusher

•            Grinding Mill

•            Overland Conveyor

•            Flotation Circuit

•            Pumps & Auxiliary Systems

•            Develop and implement fast and effective problem-solving strategies to minimize downtime and operational impact.

•            Coordinate with maintenance teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to assess equipment damage and determine appropriate corrective actions.

2. Hazard Management & Safety

•            Identify and address safety hazard findings promptly to ensure the safety of personnel and operations.

•            Take responsibility for mitigating safety risks during repair activities or unplanned work.

•            Ensure that work permits, LOTO, and other safety procedures are correctly applied for all work activities.

•            Work closely with Safety Officers to assess and manage risks related to repairs or required corrective actions.

3. Proactive and Preventive Maintenance

•            Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure Fixed Plant equipment operates in optimal condition.

•            Conduct routine inspections of Primary Gyratory Crusher, Grinding Mill, Flotation, Pumps, and other related equipment.

•            Ensure timely replacement of worn components and parts in accordance with maintenance cycles and OEM standards.

4. In-depth Knowledge of Fixed Plant Equipment

•            Apply deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in handling Fixed Plant equipment, including:

•            Primary Gyratory Crusher and Secondary Crusher

•            Grinding Mill (SAG/Ball Mill)

•            Flotation Cells and flotation systems

•            Pump, Cyclone, and Conveyor Systems

•            Utility equipment accessories (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation)

•            Provide technical analysis for equipment repair or upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.

5. Team Coordination & Technical Support

•            Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure repair activities run smoothly and effectively.

•            Provide technical support for planning and execution of shutdowns or major maintenance activities.

•            Prepare daily and monthly reports related to performance, maintenance schedules, and downtime costs.

6. Performance Monitoring and Evaluation

•            Monitor the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in repair and maintenance processes to assess team and equipment performance.

•            Conduct periodic evaluations of equipment performance and identify improvement areas to optimize plant performance.

7. Safety and Compliance

•            Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable K3 regulations and environmental standards.

•            Develop and implement safety procedures for emergency repairs and breakdown-related work.

Authorities (The right to make decisions or take actions in accordance with responsibilities and position within the organization)

•            Direct and control team actions in responding to unplanned events and equipment breakdowns in the Fixed Process Plant area.

•            Determine corrective strategies and approve technical actions to minimize downtime and operational impact.

•            Coordinate and assign tasks to mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for damage assessment and repairs.

•            Enforce the application of hazard controls, safety permits, LOTO, and other safety procedures for all maintenance activities.

•            Stop or delay work that poses safety risks or does not comply with safety and environmental standards.

•            Approve preventive maintenance plans, inspection activities, and component replacement schedules based on OEM standards.

•            Provide technical recommendations for equipment repair, modification, or upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.

•            Coordinate cross-functional support with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams during shutdowns and major maintenance activities.

•            Validate maintenance performance data, KPI results, and reports related to downtime, cost, and equipment performance.

•            Implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives based on performance evaluations and compliance requirements.

What skills and experience do you need?

Education       

•            Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering, or instrumentation engineering.

•            Preferred or Specialized: elevant certifications or training in safety, reliability, or maintenance will be considered an advantage.

Experience     

•            Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance or plant operations within a Fixed Process Plant.

•            Direct hands-on experience with Primary Gyratory Crushers, Grinding Mills, Flotation systems, and Pump & Conveyor systems.

•            Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within maintenance or plant technical support functions.

•            Proven experience in managing unplanned maintenance activities and breakdown response with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation).

Technical Competency         

•            Be able to lead unplanned maintenance and breakdown response activities for Fixed Process Plant equipment effectively.

•            Be able to analyze equipment failures and develop rapid problem-solving strategies to minimize downtime.

•            Be able to identify and control safety hazards and risks during maintenance and unplanned work activities.

•            Be able to implement work permits, LOTO, and safety procedures in accordance with K3 and company standards.

•            Be able to plan and manage preventive maintenance programs to maintain equipment reliability and performance.

•            Be able to inspect and evaluate the condition of crushers, grinding mills, flotation systems, pumps, and conveyors.

•            Be able to apply deep technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in Fixed Plant operations.

•            Be able to conduct technical analysis for equipment repair, modification, and upgrade initiatives.

•            Be able to coordinate effectively with engineering, maintenance, operations, and safety teams.

•            Be able to support shutdown planning and execution for major maintenance activities.

•            Be able to monitor and evaluate maintenance KPIs and equipment performance data.

•            Be able to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.

•            Be able to ensure full compliance with K3 regulations and environmental standards in all maintenance activities.

•            Be able to utilize CMMS systems (SAP, Pronto, Maximo, or equivalent) to plan, monitor, and report mechanical maintenance activities.
