Bumi Kecil is looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our growing school community as we open our new Primary programme.

Location: Gili Air, Lombok Utara

Start Date: May / June 2026

About Us

Bumi Kecil is a school inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, located on the beautiful tropical island of Gili Air, Indonesia. Surrounded by nature and a close-knit community, we focus on nurturing curious, confident, and compassionate learners.

As we grow, we are developing a new Primary curriculum that combines the Cambridge framework, the National Curriculum, and the skills and values of our Wisdom Programme. We are currently looking for an educator to lead our class.

What You’ll Be Doing

Planning engaging, student-centred lessons based on children’s needs and interests

Using a variety of teaching strategies to support different learning styles

Creating a warm, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback

Bringing learning to life through hands-on, real-world activities

Communicating openly with parents and collaborating with colleagues

Taking part in staff meetings, school events, and professional development

What We’re Looking For

Experience teaching Primary level in an English-speaking environment (minimum 2 years)

Familiarity with international curricula (Cambridge, IB, Pearson, etc.) is a requirement

Confident classroom management and strong organisational skills

Comfortable with inquiry-based and child-centred learning

Able to work well in a multicultural, collaborative environment

Fluent in spoken and written English

Tech-friendly (Microsoft tools and basic educational technology)
