HSE Officer – Hospitality Operations

We are looking for a safety professional who understands that a resort is a living, breathing ecosystem, not a construction site. Your goal is to protect our guests, employees, and assets without disrupting the guest experience. We need someone who can manage safety in a high-touch, luxury environment—where safety measures are effective but "invisible" to the guest.

If your entire career has been focused on scaffolding, heavy lifting plans, and project construction sites, this role is not for you.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of HSE policies and procedures across operational hospitality areas (guest areas, back-of-house, F&B outlets, attractions, recreational facilities).

Conduct routine safety inspections, walkthroughs, and hazard identification within active operational environments.

Perform risk assessments relevant to hospitality operations and recommend practical preventive measures.

Monitor safety compliance among operational staff, vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors working within hospitality settings.

Support delivery of HSE training including emergency response, fire safety, evacuation procedures, and PPE awareness tailored to hospitality teams.

Document incidents, assist with root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Ensure readiness and compliance of safety equipment (fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, first aid kits, muster points) within operational facilities.

Assist in internal HSE audits and support follow-up actions.

Support emergency drills and coordinate guest safety procedures in alignment with hospitality standards.

Key Requirements

Industry Background (Non-Negotiable):

MUST have at least 1-2 years of HSE experience in High-Traffic Operations such as:

Luxury Hotels / Resorts

Theme Parks / Water Parks

Shopping Malls / Estate Management

Tourism Operators

Candidates with background exclusively in Construction, Mining, or Oil & Gas will not be considered.

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or Safety Engineering.

Mandatory: Ahli K3 Umum (AK3U) Certification.

Preferred: Certifications in Food Safety (HACCP/ISO 22000) or Fire Safety Manager.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of "Soft" Safety: Interaction with guests, food hygiene standards, and crowd control.

Understanding of "Hard" Safety: MEP maintenance safety, pool chemical handling, and waste management.

Soft Skills:

"Invisible" Safety: Ability to enforce rules without being authoritarian or disrupting the luxury atmosphere.

Remote Resilience: Willing to live and work in Lombok Tengah and thrive in a developing destination.
