Position: Chief Accounting
Location: Selong Selo Resort – Lombok
Department: Finance
Reports to: Financial Controller
Job Summary
The Chief Accounting is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting functions of the resort, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations. This role plays a critical part in supporting management decisions through strong financial control and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Control
Assist review controlling daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Cash Management.
Assist ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
Assist prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis with clear explanations.
Assist support department heads with financial data and cost control initiatives.
Taxation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as required.
Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and filings.
Cash Flow & Asset Management
Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and working capital.
Oversee fixed asset management, depreciation, and inventory controls.
Ensure proper documentation and safeguarding of company assets.
Team Leadership
Supervise and develop the accounting team, ensuring clear task allocation and performance standards.
Provide coaching, guidance, and training to improve team capability and accuracy.
Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA / Brevet certification is an advantage).
Proven experience in a similar role within hospitality, preferably luxury resort or hotel operations.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
Experience with hospitality accounting systems and ERP software.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Experience in luxury hospitality or resort operations.
Exposure to multi-department operations and cost control in F&B, Rooms, and Villas.
Experience working with auditors and regulatory bodies.
