Some of your duties will include:

This role will play a critical role to provides expert guidance, oversight, and advisory support in the management of expatriate employment, permits, and settlement services. The role ensures company compliance with Indonesian labor and immigration regulations while supporting strategic expatriate workforce planning. Acting as a subject-matter expert, the Advisor partners with internal stakeholders, external government agencies, and expatriates to create a smooth and compliant expatriate experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Advisory & Compliance Oversight

Provide expert advice on expatriate employment regulations, immigration requirements, and company compliance strategies.
Ensure alignment of expatriate management with labor laws, immigration regulations, and company policies.
Act as a trusted advisor to management on risk, compliance, and strategic matters related to expatriates.
Expatriate Permits & Formalities

Oversee the full lifecycle of expatriate documentation (RPTKA, Notifikasi, IMTA, KITAS/ITAS, MERP, SKTT, etc.).
Maintain close coordination with government institutions (Ministry of Manpower, Immigration, BKPM, etc.).
Troubleshoot complex cases and provide solutions to minimize business disruption.
Expatriate Services & Settlement Support

Advise and support expatriates on settlement matters, relocation, onboarding, extensions, and exit processes.
Ensure expatriate services are delivered with a hospitality mindset and meet international standards.
Recommend service improvements to enhance expatriate satisfaction and retention.
Strategic Support & Reporting

Contribute to expatriate workforce planning and compliance forecasting.
Prepare and review expatriate-related reports and ensure accuracy for management and regulatory submissions.
Monitor trends and changes in expatriate regulations, providing recommendations to management.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with expatriates, internal departments, external agencies, and government authorities.
Represent the company in formal engagements with regulators and associations regarding expatriate matters.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Transfer

Review existing expatriate management processes and propose efficiency improvements.
Mentor and support coordinators and junior staff in the expatriate affairs team.
Facilitate training sessions for internal teams on expatriate regulations and compliance.
What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or professional certification in HR/Legal is an advantage 
Minimum 12-15 years of experience in expatriate affairs and formalities with at least 5-7 years of experience in a senior role position as Advisor or Sr. Coordinator – Formalities & Expatriate Affairs
Proven track record in handling expatriate formalities within multinational or large-scale project companies, preferably in the mining industry; Prior experience engaging directly with government authorities is highly desirable.


In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labor laws, immigration regulations, and expatriate employment management; Strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory updates into company practice; Advanced administrative and organizational skills with strategic advisory capability.
Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills; Professional integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive matters; Service-oriented with a hospitality mindset; Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handle pressure, and deliver timely solutions.
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
