EOI - SENIOR COMPENSATION BENEFIT
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
Responsible for leading, designing, and administering the company’s total rewards framework, ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and regulatory compliance. The role supports both corporate and site operations by providing expert analysis, implementation, and continuous improvement of compensation, benefits, and reward systems aligned with business goals and corporate values.
1. Compensation Management
Develop, maintain, and implement the company’s Compensation Structure & Policies ensuring consistency with internal equity and external competitiveness.
Conduct job evaluation and salary benchmarking using recognized methodologies (e.g., point-factor system, two-point system, Mercer, or Korn Ferry Hay).
Manage annual salary review processes including merit increase, promotion, and market adjustments in alignment with budget and performance results.
Prepare and analyze total remuneration reports and provide insights to support management decisions.
Review and evaluate allowance, incentive, and overtime structures, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with company policy and labor regulations.
Support development and administration of short-term incentive programs (STIP) and long-term incentive programs (LTIP).
2. Benefits Administration
Manage and review employee benefits programs such as health insurance, life insurance, pension plans, and other welfare benefits to ensure optimal cost and coverage.
Evaluate and negotiate with insurance providers and benefits vendors to optimize value and service delivery.
Monitor utilization, claims experience, and employee satisfaction to ensure continuous improvement.
Oversee benefits orientation, communication, and administration throughout employee life cycles (onboarding, extension, retirement, termination).
3. Policy & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to remuneration, payroll, and benefits.
Develop and update compensation and benefit policies, SOPs, and guidelines for both staff and non-staff levels.
Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment and integrity of data and practices.
Support data and information needed for human capital annual budget.
4. Analytics & Reporting
Support Manager to conduct periodic analytics (e.g., cost modeling, pay equity analysis, reward effectiveness, compensation ratios); prepare management reports and dashboards for executive review on compensation cost, benefit utilization, and workforce trends; provide advisory to management regarding pay structures, promotions, and compensation-related cases.
5. Continuous Improvement
Lead or participate in total rewards projects, such as salary structure redesign, benefits harmonization, HR digitalization, or job leveling reviews.
Support internal and external audits.
Benchmark against industry best practices and recommend innovative compensation strategies to attract and retain talent.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/ Accounting/ Finance/ Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefit management, preferably in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry with proven experience in job evaluation systems, salary structure design, and benefits management; At least 5 years in a Senior supervisory or Superintendent role.
Demonstrated experience in managing annual salary reviews, bonus schemes, and long-term incentive plans in compliance with company policy and government regulations; Experience with employee benefits programs including BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, BPJS Kesehatan, insurance, travel benefits, and retirement schemes.
Strong understanding of total rewards strategy; compensation structures, benefits program design, benefits administration, payroll integration; job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Mercer, Korn Ferry); salary survey methodology and market benchmarking. Fully knowledge of Indonesian manpower related regulation: labor laws, tax, and BPJS regulations.
Advanced Excel and data analytics capability for modeling and reporting; Familiarity with HRIS, ERP systems (Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, or similar), HR analytics tools, and payroll systems preferred.
Certified Compensation and Benefits Professional (CCBP or equivalent); Certified in Job Evaluation Methodologies (e.g., Mercer IPE, Korn Ferry Hay Method) is highly advantageous; Certified Competency-Based HR or Organizational Development (e.g., BNSP or equivalent); Certified in SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Module or equivalent HRIS platform (preferred); Taxation Certification Brevet A/B (optional but beneficial for payroll and benefits compliance).
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP System and database management.
