We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to lead the culinary direction of a premium café-restaurant with a unique blend of Australian and Mediterranean influences, located in the heart of Lombok’s vibrant and fast-growing hospitality scene. This is an exciting opportunity for a food-driven leader who thrives in a modern brunch culture and brings an innovative spirit to international cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
> Lead, manage, and inspire the kitchen team in day-to-day operations.
> Curate and develop seasonal menus with a focus on brunch, breakfast, and European-Mediterranean fusion cuisine.
> Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes.
> Monitor food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
> Source quality ingredients and manage kitchen inventory and food costs effectively.
> Collaborate with the owner and operations team for concept innovation, kitchen efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
> Train and mentor junior chefs, creating a culture of passion, professionalism, and positivity.
> Represent the brand locally and internationally when required; open to potential travel for sourcing, events, or training.
Qualifications & Requirements
> Minimum 5 years of experience in professional kitchens, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
> Strong background in international cuisine, with proven experience in European and Mediterranean dishes.
> Excellent understanding of modern brunch and breakfast trends.
> Deep passion for culinary arts, food presentation, and flavor innovation.
Positive attitude, excellent communication, and ability to lead a diverse team.
> Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages a plus.
> Willingness to travel abroad when needed.
> Energetic, and excited about the opportunity to grow with the brand in a long-term role.
