Scope of Work:
Provide technical support and expertise for electrical systems during commissioning and operation readiness phases of the process plant expansion project.
Review, verify, and ensure completion of electrical systems in accordance with design specifications, Indonesian regulations, and company standards.
Lead and execute testing, inspection, energization, and commissioning activities for all electrical equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, motors, variable speed drives, cabling, earthing systems, and instrumentation interfaces).
Support development and review of commissioning procedures, method statements, and electrical handover dossiers.
Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure electrical systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Monitor electrical commissioning activities, identify issues, and develop action plans for resolution.
Ensure all electrical systems are properly documented and prepared for handover to Operations.
Support the implementation of Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices during commissioning activities.
Actively participate in punch list creation, management, and closeout for electrical systems.
Support training of Operations and Maintenance teams for plant start-up and normal operations.
Prepare daily and weekly reports on electrical commissioning progress and issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Commissioning Execution:
Plan, organize, and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical equipment and systems.
Technical Review:
Review electrical line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and control system interfaces.
Testing and Inspection:
Conduct functional tests (FAT, SAT, loop tests) and ensure electrical systems operate correctly and safely.
System Handover:
Ensure complete documentation (as-built drawings, test records, certifications) is ready for turnover to operations.
Vendor Coordination:
Supervise vendor activities related to electrical equipment installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to and promote company safety standards and Indonesian electrical regulations throughout commissioning activities.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during commissioning to support smooth transition into operational readiness.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering roles.
At least 5 years specific experience in commissioning of electrical systems for industrial/mining/process plant projects.
EPC project experience is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of power systems (HV, MV, LV), motor control systems, protection systems, instrumentation interfaces, SCADA systems, and grounding systems.
Experience with electrical testing equipment (insulation resistance tester, circuit analyzers, secondary injection test sets, etc.).
Familiarity with standards: IEC, IEEE, Indonesian regulations, and best practices.
Other Skills:
Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
High commitment to safety and quality standards.
Ability to work in a dynamic commissioning environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
Certifications (Preferred):
Certified Electrical Expert (Sertifikat Tenaga Teknik Ketenagalistrikan/TTK) for medium/high voltage systems is an advantage.
Authorized Permit Receiver or Electrical PTW (Permit to Work) experience is a plus.
