Scope of Work:

The Auxiliary Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and supervising all commissioning and start-up activities related to auxiliary systems supporting the mineral processing plant. These systems typically include compressed air, plant water supply, reagent preparation and dosing, fire protection systems, fuel systems, HVAC (for substations and control rooms), and other non-process utilities.
The role ensures auxiliary facilities are fully functional, safely integrated, and ready to support plant operation in alignment with project schedules and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, lead, and monitor commissioning activities for all auxiliary systems.

Develop commissioning procedures, checklists, and schedules for auxiliary equipment and systems.

Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, vendor representatives, and operations teams to ensure readiness and smooth transition from construction to commissioning.

Ensure that auxiliary systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Supervise function testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance verification of auxiliary systems.

Manage the interface between auxiliary systems and main process systems during commissioning phases.

Identify and troubleshoot any system issues during commissioning, proposing corrective actions as necessary.

Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials for auxiliary systems.

Participate in punch list walkdowns, track and close outstanding items relevant to auxiliary systems.

Ensure all commissioning documentation, system turnover, and handover packages are complete and accurate.

Monitor contractor and vendor performance in relation to auxiliary commissioning activities.

Champion a strong safety culture during commissioning, ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulations, site standards, and international best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commissioning, start-up, and operation readiness roles within mineral processing plants, oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant projects. Experience must include auxiliary systems commissioning.

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of auxiliary plant systems (compressed air, plant water, fuel handling, HVAC, fire protection, reagents, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical diagrams, and vendor manuals.
- Proficient in system completion, commissioning execution, troubleshooting, and handover documentation.

Certifications (preferred)

- Certification in Commissioning and Start-up (e.g., IChemE, COMPEX for Hazardous Areas, if HVAC/Hazardous Area Relevance).
- Safety certifications (e.g., Confined Space Entry, Permit to Work Systems).

Other Requirements

- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Familiarity with international and Indonesian safety and commissioning standards.
- Able to work in remote mining locations and adapt to demanding project schedules.
