Amman Mineral Industri at Sumbawa Island in Indonesia has a Smelter complex including the Smelters, Refinery, Sulphuric Acid Plant, Precious Metal Plant. Copper concentrate, received from the Batu Hijau mines, is converted through a process of smelting and electro refining to copper cathodes of specified purity for shipment to customers in Indonesia as well as other parts of the world. Sulphur dioxide produced during operations is converted to sulphuric acid and precious metals such as gold, silver and selenium are produced as by products for sale to customers. The operations require a Raw Material Handling Plant for receiving, storing and blending the copper concentrate and Utilities to support operations. The smelter complex has many capital-intensive and sophisticated plant and machinery and their control systems that help coordinate the complex interlinkages of various stages of the copper smelting process as well as the process plants for its by-products.

 

Role Responsibility:

 To take  responsibility for leading a team of technicians in overseeing maintenance and repair activities of HEMM , ensuring efficient equipment operations, and maintaining a safe working environment at the Amman Mineral Industri Copper Smelter complex at Sumbawa Island

To provide guidance, training, and support to the team of technicians to plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance and repair tasks for a fleet of heavy earth-moving machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime, coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.

 To Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in heavy machinery maintenance.

Job Requirement:

Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering /Automobile engineering, Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering  or higher in a relevant equivalent  field, along with relevant certifications or specialized training

Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in heavy earth-moving machinery maintenance and repair.

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy machinery.

Leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in diagnostic tools, equipment, and software used in machinery maintenance.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting

Proficiency in equipment and system expertise
