Role
To assist in smooth operations of the Central & RMH Laboratory at Amman Mineral Industri in Sumbawa Island in Indonesia.
To oversee compliance with all quality specifications of incoming copper concentrate, received from the Batu Hijau mines at RMH, in process materials and output of the Smelter, Electro Refinery Sulphuric Acid Plant and through sampling and testing for quality control and assurance.
To monitor performance and continuous training of the Central / RMH Laboratory team under jurisdiction
Incumbent Specifications (Preferred)
Post Graduation in Chemistry or B. Tech in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
10-12 years in laboratory of process plants with at least 8-10 years of experience in leading teams
Understanding of laboratory management system
Understanding of copper smelting and refining operations as well as acid production
Understanding of quality systems
Proficiency in analytical tools and techniques
Understanding of health-safety and environment protocols
Lab instrument knowledge / commissioning- ICP, AAS, XRF, S-OES, Fire Assay, Auto-Titration, AFS, Jaw crusher, rod mill, screening, sample divider, polishing/ milling machine, Fire assay etc.
Method development, instrument calibration, calibration standard preparation
