Some of your duties will include:

Responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the port facility to ensure the efficient and safe movement of cargo in and out of the port. They will work closely with various stakeholders including port operators, shipping companies, and government agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of safety and security;

Manage and oversee port operations, including vessel and cargo handling, terminal operations, and maintenance of port equipment and infrastructure;

Develop and implement procedures and protocols to ensure safe and efficient port operations;

Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed;

Coordinate with shipping companies, port operators, and government agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote efficient and effective use of the port;

Provide technical expertise and support to port operations staff, including training, guidance, and troubleshooting;

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including shipping companies, port operators, and government agencies;

Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for port operations, including infrastructure improvements, equipment upgrades, and process optimization;

Identify and evaluate new technologies and innovations that can enhance port operations and improve efficiency and productivity;

·Prepare reports and presentations to communicate key performance metrics, operational issues, and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; Logistics / Supply Chain background is an advantage.

Have minimum of 7 years of experience in port operations, logistics, or a related field; At least 3 years as Engineer Port.

Knowledge of port operations, including vessel and cargo handling, terminal operations, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.

Strong technical and analytical skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders; Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects; Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed to support port operations
