Ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and optimal performance of the plant's equipment.
contributes significantly to the overall reliability and efficiency of a combined cycle power plant by proactively addressing potential issues before they lead to downtime or reduced performance. Regular monitoring and analysis of equipment condition empower the plant to implement predictive maintenance strategies, ultimately optimizing operational efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
Implementation of CBM Systems: Deploying and managing condition monitoring systems for various plant equipment; Collaborating with instrumentation and control teams to integrate sensors and monitoring devices.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collecting real-time data from sensors and monitoring devices.; Utilizing data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues.
Vibration Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing vibrations in rotating equipment such as turbines, generators, and pumps; Implementing vibration analysis techniques to detect imbalances, misalignments, and bearing issues.
Thermal Imaging: Using thermal imaging technology to identify abnormal temperature patterns in electrical and mechanical components; Detecting overheating issues in power plant equipment.
Oil Analysis: Implementing oil analysis programs to monitor the condition of lubricants and identify potential equipment failures; Analyzing oil samples for contaminants, wear particles, and chemical changes.
Ultrasound Monitoring: Utilizing ultrasound technology to detect leaks, electrical issues, and other abnormalities in the plant; Implementing ultrasound-based condition monitoring for specific equipment.
Equipment Diagnostics: Diagnosing the root causes of equipment issues based on condition monitoring data; Collaborating with maintenance teams to plan and execute predictive maintenance activities.
Reporting and Documentation: Generating regular reports on the health and performance of monitored equipment; Maintaining comprehensive documentation of condition monitoring activities and findings.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improving CBM processes and systems; Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in condition monitoring.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 10 years’ related experiences.
Have minimum 5 years’ experiences in Engineering/ Specialist level in similar role in Combined Cycle Power Plant.
Advanced knowledge of the principles and techniques of condition-based monitoring; Knowledge of various monitoring technologies such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and ultrasound.
Proficiency in analyzing large sets of data to draw meaningful conclusions; Ability to interpret trends and make informed recommendations for maintenance and operational improvements.
General knowledge of all areas of industrial plant maintenance; Competency and knowledge of the basic plant layout, equipment and systems of a large industrial project; Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) specifically SAP sufficient to undertake this role.
Relevant certifications in condition monitoring technologies and methodologies.
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
Strong computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution.
