Responsible to direct and control the use of warehouse and inventory facilities to ensure the maximum use of available space consistent with efficiency, safety and profitability: Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations; Implementing operational policies and procedures; Implementing and overseeing security operations; Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment and staff; 

To plan, develop, organize, control and coordinate work activities relating to Inventory Site Receipt and Control, Cataloguing, Warehouse Operations, Investment Recovery, Repairable Components and Supply Chain Management Reporting functions to support business Operations in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures, Indonesian Law and Project Mine Contract of Work.

To provide leadership and management to ensure a high level of customer support and service is extended to end-user departments through cost effective and efficient warehouse and inventory asset activities combined with optimal risk evaluated inventory levels and replenishment settings.

Continuous review and development of departmental policies, procedures and STP’s to ensure adherence and standardization of these within the workplace. Analyse and review processes for improvement and / or identification of outdated procedures and updated where appropriate. 

Develop and implementation warehousing and inventory control strategies that optimize inventory size, use, and service levels at lowest overall financial impact.

Promote Inventory Control and Cataloguing interaction with user-departments, to assist end-users in the planning and forecasting of inventory requirements to ensure stock-out situations are minimized.

Ensure appropriate material management system identified (i.e. Bulk Commodities, Critical, Insurance etc.) to best serve operational demand and production level requirements. Manage the balance between holding too little, or too much, to ensure production requirements are sustained.

Identify, handle, store and dispose of surplus equipment and materials. Investigate internal uses of surplus, seek and develop appropriate marketing strategies for optimal return materials, coordinate inventory write-off, and ensure disposals are performed in compliance with Indonesian regulations.

In conjunction with the Inventory site Department, develop, implement, update and report on the Supply Chain Assets Management components of the SAP materials management and related systems.

Manages Supply Chain Assets administrative matters relating to Government regulatory compliance and interaction, inventory review and re-ordering, cataloguing, site goods receipt and issuance, warranties, return and repair, hazmat storage and management, review meetings etc.

Provide specific focus and compliance to Supply Chain Assets and site-based supplier activities with respect to company standards for health safety and loss control, environmental management, external relations and local business initiatives and support.

Oversee approval of requests for warehouse goods issuance.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Bachelor’s degree programs in supply chain management or business administration; Master’s degree programs in supply chain management or business administration will be and added value.

Minimum of 20 years of warehouse management experience with 8 years in managerial level preferably within a large mining  organization with current position as Senior Manager Warehouse/ Sr. Advisor Warehouse; 

Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures; Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls; Has warehouse management exposure and experiences in retail industry can be added value;

Proficient computer skills, ideally with SAP

Strong communication skills and proven ability to engage and build relationships across multiple layers of the organization from senior management to site leaders and Operations Crew, and other Stakeholder.

Very good organizational skills with the ability to effectively priorities tasks and work both independently and as part of a team; thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously.

Strong analytical capabilities and negotiating skills, sound business sense, advanced documentation skills with high attention to detail;

Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate; Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office – Words, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and Internet.
