Working Location: Site Based – West Sumbawa

Working Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

Some of your duties will include:

Define and own the E&I design basis, design criteria and calculation methodology for project development scopes, and integrate multi-discipline design packages.

Own and deliver E&I engineering design packages, including design criteria, calculations, one line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, panelboard and MCC schedules, plan/ layout drawings, instrument index, I/O lists, control philosophy, loop diagrams, datasheets, technical specifications, MTO/BOQ, scope of work, cost estimates, and provide input to P&ID and cross-discipline documents.

Perform and verify E&I engineering calculations, including complex studies such as short-circuit, protection coordination and discrimination, arc-flash, harmonic and power-quality analysis, in addition to load flow, cable sizing, earthing, lightning protection, illumination (lux) calculation, transformer/genset/UPS sizing and instrument sizing, power factor and harmonic checks, and battery / DC system sizing; check and approve calculations produced by others.

Deliver electrical, instrumentation and control engineering across all project development phases: concept study, pre-feasibility, feasibility and detailed engineering. 

Develop conceptual and detailed design in coordination with other disciplines as per project requirements, government regulations and national/international code & standards.

Prepare complete E&I engineering tender packages, lead technical bid evaluation, and drive vendor technical clarification and alignment.

Lead independent engineering review and squad-check of deliverables produced by engineering consultants (design house/ FEED), verifying design basis, calculations, drawings and specifications against AMNT standards, national and international codes, and project requirements.

Lead independent engineering review and squad-check of deliverables produced by EPC/EPCM contractors – including one-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, instrument index, control philosophy and P&ID instrumentation loops – own the technical acceptance decision, and disposition technical queries (RFI).

Direct and check engineering drafting in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and produce drawings where required; drafting is a supporting capability and not the primary function of the role.

Provide and direct engineering and technical support during procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning to ensure the approved design is correctly implemented; act as design authority on field engineering changes.

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical and least 5 years specific experience in electrical instrumentation engineering in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, or EPC projects.

Demonstrated experience engineering design in Mining or Oil & Gas Industry, include supporting facilities.

Experience in delivering design, calculation, sizing, specification/ data sheet, MTO/BOQ, Cost Estimation and SOW.

Proven capability in E&I engineering calculations (load flow, cable sizing, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, lighting, earthing, instrument sizing) and familiar with design verification, FAT/SAT and commissioning requirements from a design-assurance standpoint.

Possesses a strong understanding of national and international Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, and Control codes and standards, with hands-on troubleshooting expertise, proficiency in industrial installation practices and plant/facility design, and working knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation, ETAP, lighting software, PLC programming, and other related electrical engineering applications.

Preferred Certifications

Certified of Competency for First Operational Supervisor in mining (POP)

Certified electrical safety (Ahli K3 Listrik)

Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
