We're Hiring: Supply & Sourcing Coordinator – Indonesia Field Operations 🌊🌿
Seaweed Asia is building Indonesia's most traceable seaweed sourcing operation. We work directly with farmers in Lombok, NTB, NTT, and Sulawesi to bring high-quality seaweed to global buyers — and we need someone on the ground who knows this world inside out.
📍 Location: Lombok/NTB base, with heavy travel across NTB, NTT, and Sulawesi
🤝 Engagement: Full-time
📅 Start: Q3 2026
This is a field-first role — most of your time will be at farms, drying areas, and warehouses, not behind a desk.
What you'll do:
Build relationships directly with farmers and cooperatives, and negotiate sourcing agreements
Manage farmgate buying: pricing, payment, quality checks, and grading
Track every batch for traceability — GPS, lot numbers, chain of custody
Run day-to-day warehouse operations and inventory
Support export documentation and quality inspections
Send daily WhatsApp updates and weekly reports to the founding team
Who we're looking for:
3–8 years in seaweed procurement, aggregation, or commodity field work in Indonesia
Deep knowledge of one major seaweed region (NTB, NTT, Sulawesi, or Maluku)
Can judge seaweed quality by eye and feel
Comfortably handling cash and farmer payments with high integrity
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; regional dialect a strong plus
Valid Indonesian driving licence, ready to travel to remote areas often
