Role Summary
The Operational Readiness Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting the successful development and opening of new business outlets, including restaurants, spas, and villas. This role ensures that the original business concept is implemented effectively throughout the design, construction, and pre-opening phases by working closely with internal teams and stakeholders. Once construction is completed, the role shifts its focus to operational readiness and opening execution.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support the pre-opening process for new restaurants, spas, villas, and other hospitality projects.
Assist in developing, maintaining, and executing pre-opening checklists and project timelines.
Ensure all operational requirements are identified, tracked, and completed according to the project schedule.
Collaborate closely with architects, designers, construction teams, procurement, and operations to ensure the approved concept is implemented successfully.
Monitor project progress and operational readiness across all departments, ensuring milestones are achieved on time.
Ensure all operational areas, including front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH), are fully prepared prior to opening.
Coordinate the readiness of operational equipment, furniture, fixtures, operating supplies, and other opening requirements.
Support testing, commissioning, trial operations, soft openings, and grand opening activities.
Identify operational gaps or potential risks that may impact the opening timeline and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
Prepare regular project and operational readiness reports and communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to the Project Development Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in hospitality pre-opening, project coordination, or outlet development.
Experience participating in the successful pre-opening of restaurants, hotels, resorts, villas, spas, or similar hospitality businesses is highly preferred.
Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, procurement, and operations.
Good understanding of hospitality operational requirements and pre-opening processes.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
