About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commis Cook to join our dynamic team at The Well Kuta. As a Senior Commis Cook, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the preparation and service of high-quality cuisine in our renowned restaurant located in Kuta Lombok. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for career growth and development within our company.
What you'll be doing
Assist the Head Chef in the planning, preparation and presentation of a diverse menu
Ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of all dishes
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to uphold high standards of food preparation
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to enhance the overall dining experience
Participate in menu planning and development to introduce new and innovative dishes
Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Commis Cook or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
Formal culinary training or certification, such as a diploma or degree in Culinary Arts
Strong knowledge of international cuisines and proficiency in various cooking techniques
Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious dishes
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong leadership and mentoring skills to train and develop junior kitchen staff
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
