General Job Description:
The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages while delivering warm, genuine, and consistent service to every guest. As the front face of BGS Bali, the Barista maintains cleanliness, supports daily store routines, and upholds the brand’s standard of excellence in every interaction
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience:
Prepare coffee, tea, smoothies, and other beverages according to BGS Bali’s recipes and quality standards.
Operate coffee equipment (espresso machine, grinder, etc.) with precision and care.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and presentation in every cup.
Customer Experience:
Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and genuine manner (sequences of service)
Handle orders efficiently and make product suggestions when appropriate.
Create a welcoming environment that reflects BGS Bali’s service culture.
Store Operations:
Support daily routines including bar setup, restocking, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
Assist in opening and closing duties as scheduled by the Store Manager.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and aligned with hygiene standards.
Product Knowledge:
Maintain a solid understanding of menu items, ingredients, and seasonal offerings.
Stay updated on promotions or limited-time drinks and communicate them to guests confidently.
Team Support:
Work closely with fellow baristas and outlet team to ensure smooth service and workflow.
Be open to feedback, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
Stock Awareness:
Monitor bar ingredients and inform the Store Captain or Manager of low stock or needed items.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) method in ingredient usage
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a barista is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Basic knowledge of coffee, espresso machine use, and hygiene practices.
Friendly, responsible, and service-oriented attitude.
Able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Fluent in English
