Production Lead (Biofertilizer)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning and Operations

Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.

Ensure all production activities comply with standard operating procedures and established quality standards.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.

Raw Material Management and Supply Chain

Plan, monitor, and execute raw material procurement according to production forecasts.

Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent availability of high-quality raw materials.

Establish and manage traceability systems from raw materials to finished products.

Machinery and Facility Maintenance

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of production equipment.

Report, follow up, and document machinery issues, errors, and maintenance requirements.

Collaborate with technicians and engineers to reduce production disruptions and extend equipment lifespan.

Quality Assurance and Reporting

Oversee and ensure product quality at every stage of the production process.

Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, including performance metrics, issues, and improvement recommendations.

Lead process optimization initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Team Leadership and Compliance

Supervise, train, and mentor production operators and technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Foster a disciplined, transparent, and collaborative work environment.

Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations and occupational health and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Agricultural Technology, or a related field.

Diploma holders with strong and relevant experience may be considered.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in biofertilizer, organic fertilizer, feed fermentation, or biomanufacturing production.

Proven experience managing small to medium-sized production teams.

Strong background in production planning, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.

Solid understanding of fermentation, drying, blending, and packaging processes related to biofertilizer production.

Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Looker for production planning and reporting.

Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, 5S, or ISO-based quality management systems.
