Lomdogs Animal Care is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of street dogs in Lombok, Indonesia. Founded by compassionate individuals who witnessed the struggles of street dogs first-hand, we work closely with the local NGO "Yayasan Peduli Hewan Lombok" to provide care and create opportunities that enhance their living conditions.  Role Description 

This is an on-site, full-time role located in Central Lombok Regency for a Vet Assistant. The Vet Assistant will assist veterinarians in providing care for animals, manage the well-being of rescued street dogs, educate pet owners about animal care, and support shelter activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling animals, administering basic treatments, providing support for medical procedures, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for the animals under our care.

 Qualifications

Strong skills in Animal Care and Pet Care, including handling and attending to the needs of animals in a compassionate and professional manner

Experience in Veterinary Medicine or assisting with medical procedures, treatments, and preventive care

Proficiency in Client Education and Customer Service to guide pet owners on proper animal care practices

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment

Flexibility and adaptability to work in an on-site role in a dynamic, potentially challenging environment

Basic knowledge of animal welfare challenges and a passion for making a positive impact

Having prior experience in a similar role is an advantage

Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English or willingness to learn is a plus
