Le Pirate Island Gili Lontar is a unique island resort concept with 30 rooms, located off the southern coast of Lombok. Our operation is distinctively structured with two integrated operational hubs:
• Mainland Operations: Front office & Back office support
• Island Resort Operations: Guest experience & On-island Service
We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Operational Manager to lead the pre-opening phase and oversee the full operation of both mainland and island teams.
Role Overview
The Operations Manager is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between mainland and island operations. This role will lead recruitment, training, SOP development, and operational readiness prior to opening, and will manage day-to-day operations post-opening to ensure efficiency, safety, and excellent guest experience.
This position requires a strong operational background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex logistics in a remote island resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and integrate all operational activities across mainland and island locations.
• Lead pre-opening preparation, including recruitment, training programs, SOP development, and operational simulations.
• Ensure smooth guest flow from mainland arrival, check-in, island transfer, stay, and check-out.
• Supervise mainland operations including Front offices Laundry, Back office, Purchasing, and Accounting support functions.
• Oversee island resort operations, ensuring service quality, safety, and operational excellence.
• Coordinate shuttle boat and logistics operations between mainland and island.
• Manage budgets, cost control, inventory, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, maritime, and hospitality regulations.
• Lead, coach, and develop operational teams across both locations.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality operations, preferably in resort, island or remote locations.
• Experience working in Lombok and understanding the people culture.
• Proven experience in pre-opening projects is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Solid understanding of Front office, Back office, and Resort operations.
• Experience managing logistics, transfers, or marine operations is an advantage.
• Hands-on, solution-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to be based between mainland Lombok and Island operations.
