Responsible for performing condition monitoring activities to ensure early detection of equipment degradation and support proactive maintenance actions to improve equipment reliability and plant availability.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine condition monitoring inspections and data collection for rotating and static equipment (e.g. pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors).

Perform vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing, and other predictive maintenance techniques.

Identify equipment abnormalities or potential failures and report findings to the Reliability Engineer/ Maintenance Team.

Record, maintain, and update condition monitoring data in the system to ensure accurate tracking of equipment health.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend preventive or corrective maintenance actions.

Support troubleshooting activities and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) as required.

Ensure all monitoring equipment and tools are calibrated and in proper working condition.

Comply with safety standards, procedures, and permit-to-work requirements during all field activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering (preferable) or relevant technical background.

Minimum 2 years of experience in condition monitoring data collection in industrial or mining environments.

Strong understanding of rotating and static machinery operations.

Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and equipment manuals.

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of vibration analysis, thermography, oil sampling/lubrication, and ultrasonic inspection.

Familiarity with CMMS and reliability monitoring software is an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and reporting skills.

Safety-focused mindset.
