The role of the Procurement Bulk Analyst responsible conducting in-depth research and analysis of procurement-related data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role involves gathering and evaluating data from various sources, including supplier performance metrics, market trends, inventory levels, and financial indicators. The Bulk Procurement Analyst collaborates with the procurement team to identify cost-saving opportunities, assess supplier capabilities, manage procurement risks, and drive continuous improvement in the procurement process.
Some of your duties will include:
Analyzing spend data and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance and compliance
Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and trends
Assisting in contract negotiations and drafting procurement agreements
Creating and maintaining procurement reports and dashboards
Supporting the bulk procurement team in supplier relationship management
Participating in cross-functional meetings to align procurement strategies with organizational goals
Collaborating with finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints
Use, monitor and update the contracting components of the Ellipse contracts administration systems, online contracts request system, and related data and reporting systems.
Ensure timely and professional service to user departments in the preparation and evaluation of bids, negotiation with bidders, and recommendation to management for approvals, preparation of contract documentation, issuance of award of contracts and regret letters, and management and close out of contracts all in English or Bahasa Indonesian language.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Logistics with a minimum of 7 years of experience in similar roles as Procurement Bulk Analyst, preferably within a large mining organization.
Experience in Data analysis and interpretation, Market research and supplier evaluation, Sourcing and procurement strategy development, Supplier relationship management.
Strong in Financial analysis and budgeting Contract management and negotiation
Proficiency in procurement software and tools
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of SAP
Understanding of procurement regulations and best practices
Strong analytical capabilities and negotiating skills, sound business sense, advanced documentation skills with high attention to detail.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills; A track record of following through on commitments; The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions; Excellent documentation skills; Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Possess leadership traits and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; computer literate.
