Job Purpose
This position is responsible for supporting the Engineering Department in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all resort facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The Supervisor Engineering will lead the daily tasks of the team, monitor preventive maintenance, and assist the Chief Engineer in protecting the Owner’s asset.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Operation
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Engineering team.
Conduct daily briefings and ensure all important information is delivered to team members.
Ensure team members are properly trained and equipped to perform their tasks.
Monitor and support the execution of the resort’s preventive maintenance program.
Supervise repair and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Coordinate with vendors/contractors for specialized repair works when needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire & life safety procedures, and local regulations.
Report and follow up on major technical issues to Chief Engineer.
Team Management
Assign and monitor daily tasks to the Engineering team.
Provide on-the-job training and guidance to staff.
Maintain discipline, professionalism, and teamwork within the department.
Participate in performance evaluations by providing input on staff performance.
Ensure attendance and schedules are followed according to operational needs.
Other Responsibilities
Comply with all resort and department policies and procedures.
Attend trainings, briefings, and departmental meetings as required.
Maintain a high level of personal hygiene, grooming, and professional appearance.
Perform other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer or Management.
Main Complexity/Critical Issues in the Job
Ability to supervise day-to-day maintenance operations.
Knowledge in basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance.
Ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are executed properly.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a 4/5-star hotel or resort.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
Strong technical background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
