Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Staff member at Mad Monkey Kuta Lombok, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep and repair of the hostel’s facilities, equipment, and systems. You’ll help ensure that everything—from plumbing and electrics to air-conditioning and lighting—is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably to support a great guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all property systems (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, A/C, etc.)

Handle minor repairs including lighting, doors, leaks, equipment, and general fixes

Respond to maintenance requests from staff or guests promptly and professionally

Monitor the condition of buildings, public spaces, and guest facilities

Keep tools and equipment in good working condition

Assist with property improvement projects or renovations when needed

Ensure safety and cleanliness of maintenance work areas

Work collaboratively with other departments (housekeeping, bar, kitchen) to support daily operations

Report major maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor or property manager

Requirements:

Prior experience in a maintenance, technician, or engineering role (hospitality experience is a plus)

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

Hands-on problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Reliable, responsible, and physically fit

Basic English communication; Bahasa Indonesia fluency required

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed

Willingness to work in a tropical, outdoor environment
