I. Job Overview

As Assistant Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations and cost control of the hotel to ensure accurate reporting, budget achievement, and sustainable profitability.
This role goes beyond day-to-day cost monitoring—you will act as a strategic partner to the General Manager, guiding financial planning, implementing internal controls, and mentoring the cost control and accounting team.


You will lead the preparation of monthly P&L statements, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring compliance with operational standards and applicable financial regulations while driving continuous improvement in cost efficiency without compromising service quality.


II. Key Responsibilities

a. Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, forecasts, and annual budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
b. Oversee all cost control functions, including daily expenditure tracking, inventory management, and variance analysis across all departments (Rooms, F&B, Spa, and Engineering).
c. Develop and implement financial policies, SOPs, and internal controls to safeguard assets and improve operational efficiency.
d. Analyze revenue and cost trends, identify risks or opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
e. Supervise and mentor the cost control and accounting team, ensuring professional growth and high performance.
f. Coordinate with purchasing, kitchen, and operations to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and budget compliance.
g. Support audits (internal and external) and ensure adherence to Indonesian tax regulations and hotel finance standards.
h. Act as acting finance manager when required and participate in key management meetings.


III. Key Competencies

a. Strategic Financial Acumen – Deep understanding of hotel accounting, P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
b. Leadership & Team Development—Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate a finance/cost control team.
c. Advanced Analytical Skills – Expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
d. Operational Insight – Strong grasp of hotel operations (F&B, Rooms, Spa, Engineering) and their cost drivers.
e. Integrity & Confidentiality—High ethical standards in handling financial data and sensitive company information.
f. System Proficiency – Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and hotel finance systems (VHP, SunSystems, Opera, or similar).
g. Communication & Collaboration—Ability to clearly present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.


Requirements

* Minimum 5 years of hotel finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
* Proven track record in cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting within hospitality.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and hotel accounting standards.
* Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-department coordination skills.
* Willing to relocate to Lombok at own cost.
