Scope of Work:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, delivering, evaluating, and maintaining training programs to ensure that all operational and maintenance teams are competent and ready for safe and efficient operation of the new processing plant. This includes creating site-specific training material, coordinating certification programs, and ensuring regulatory and operational compliance for all plant personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Development and Delivery:
Develop, prepare, and deliver classroom-based and on-the-job (OJT) training modules covering plant systems, equipment operation, safety procedures, and hazardous areas.
Create specific training programs for critical systems, including Hazardous Area Awareness, Safe Work Procedures (STPs), and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) for the new plant areas.
Training Program Management:
Set and manage comprehensive training plans and schedules for maintenance and operational teams.
Implement training matrices to map out required competencies for each operator and maintenance role.
Update and maintain Standard Task Procedures (STPs) and associated training materials in line with operational readiness requirements and commissioning updates.
Competency Assurance:
Facilitate assessments and evaluations to certify that operators and maintenance personnel are trained and signed off as competent in their assigned areas.
Ensure thorough documentation and tracking of employee training records, certifications, and competency achievements.
Coordination and Collaboration:
Work closely with Commissioning, Operations, and Maintenance Leads to identify training needs and prioritize delivery based on project milestones.
Liaise with HSE teams to integrate safety-critical training requirements into operational training.
Continuous Improvement:
Review feedback from trainees and supervisors to improve training materials and methodologies.
Ensure training meets both regulatory (Indonesian standards) and company standards for operational excellence.
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred (Technical, Engineering, or Education background), or equivalent practical experience
Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in training coordination and program development, preferably in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects
Special Skills
• Training Program Development
Proven experience in building and executing technical training programs, including OJT programs
• Plant Commissioning Exposure
Prior involvement in operations readiness or commissioning phase of mineral processing plants is highly desirable
• Certification
Training Certification (e.g., Train the Trainer) is an advantage
• Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of plant operations, hazardous areas, LOTO procedures, and processing plant safety systems
• Communication
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
• Systems
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training record management tools preferred
Language
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal)
