Job Description: Financial Controller – Selong Selo Resort
Location: Selong Selo Resort, Lombok, Indonesia
Reports to: General Manager & Group CFO
Job Summary:
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Selong Selo Resort, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role plays a key part in maintaining profitability, optimizing costs, and supporting business growth while upholding the luxury standards of the resort.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and local regulations.
Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper bookkeeping.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
Develop and oversee the resort’s annual budget in collaboration with department heads.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient financial strategies.
Conduct regular financial analysis to track expenses, revenues, and profitability.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and capital expenditures.
Oversee banking transactions, payments, and reconciliations.
Ensure proper credit control and manage accounts payable and receivable.
4. Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and company policies.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
5. Business Strategy & Financial Planning
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
Conduct financial feasibility studies for new investments, projects, and expansion plans.
Evaluate pricing strategies and revenue management to maximize profitability.
6. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to ensure best financial practices within the organization.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with operational needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in luxury hospitality or resort operations.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, taxation, and reporting standards in Indonesia.
Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
