Some of your duties will include:

Engineer Process Control is responsible to Process control engineers design and monitor the quality, safety, and efficiency of control systems in Power Business units or plants. This involves troubleshooting products or processes that need to be improved, determining costs of labor and materials to carry out these improvements, and ensuring that processes are compliant with regulations.

Establishing improvements solutions and cost estimates, supervising work and aiding other engineers

Identifying supporting service requirements and administering construction progress of assigned projects

Monitoring maintenance of Process Control Code and executing application program loads.

Providing day to day plant process automation support and assisting Tech Center and heading small improvements projects.

Other duties as assigned

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with minimum 7 years’ in similar role in Coal Fired Power Plant or similar environment as Engineer Process Control;

Solid experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance or maintenance planning in Power Plant; Extensive experience in designing and maintaining quality assurance on control systems in power business plant;

Profound knowledge in the field of advanced process control, process simulation, real-time optimization, and digital control signal engineering. Has knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS);

Experience in DCS and Windows OS

Experience with Bailey infi90 distributed control systems (DCS), Conductor NT symphony software, microprocessor control systems, Wartsila Engine Control System (W.E.C.S), continuous environmental monitors system (EDAS CEMS), ABB 800xA, ABB Advance software, Factory link, SCADA, ETAP Intelligent Load Shedding.

Possess Leadership traits; Have good Analytical skills, Math skills, and Problem-solving abilities; Detail oriented; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety; 

Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate. Strong computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.

Able to work on-site with regular working hour schedule (no roster).
