Senior Planner - Indonesia

About The Role

McConnell Dowell is seeking an experienced Senior Planner for a new civil marine works project in Indonesia.

Key responsibilities of the role include;

Responsible for the planning and scheduling functions for the Project.

In consultation with relevant project personnel, establish and maintain accurate construction, procurement and deliverables schedules based on the Work Breakdown Structure and contract requirements.

Update schedules on a regular basis to accurately reflect current status of progress (at least weekly).

Amend schedules to reflect changes to the project scope as identified and agreed with the appropriate project personnel and approved by Project Manager.

Responsible for the efficient and effective project implementation of Primavera software for the project to provide accurate forecasting and progress reporting.

Develop and maintain s-curve reports and provide overall progress reports and other matters related to schedule as required by the Project Manager.

Provide assistance to Engineers on understanding scheduling requirements and considerations in the development and management of their WBS packages.

Oversee the preparation and monitoring of construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirements.

Identify possible time impact issues and advise Commercial Team and Project Manager.

Advise on actions to be taken to prevent or improve undesirable trends in progress. Be able to review, develop and suggest credible scenarios if possible.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Excellent communications skills in English and Bahasa. It is essential that the successful candidate can communicate well at all levels and present confidently and respectfully in all matters relating to the program.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and minimum 10 years of planning/scheduling experience in a similar civil or marine works project. Working with or for mining clients is also desirable (not oil and gas).

Highly Competent in planning and organizing work schedules particularly in Primavera P6 but also in Microsoft Project as required. Must be exceptional quality standards for schedule maintenance, administration, and reporting.

Excellent time related commercial knowledge and experience is developing and presenting commercial matters related to time to advise internally as well as present to other stakeholders.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, interpret and review deliverables registers and the like to support the ongoing management of the project program.
