Prior to applying for this role PLEASE consider that this role requires the candidate to have 10 years of experience in:

Project Senior Superintendent – Project Management in projects minimum value AUD25 million in a mining environment delivering a construction project. Electrical and Instrumentation experience essential.
In your role as Project Manager, you will be expected to manage, control and lead delivery of a major project. 

The position will be based on Batu Hijau mine site. The Position Description BELOW should be considered before making application.


The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the company’s projects and contracts in compliance with the agreed Contract and following ODG Companies procedures, the Project Manager is responsible for:


Preparing construction schedule and the allocation of labor resource’s.
Overseeing the procurement process assessing the material and services requirements placement of Material Requests to originate Purchase Orders and seeking Supplier prices.
Having Commercial acumen with consideration for delivery times, cash flow and schedule requirements.
Managing the contract budget.
Managing Contract Deliverables and being fully aware of Contracted Terms and Conditions. 
Submitting Progress claims on time to maximize the project’s cash flow. 
Timely notifying the client of delays and submitting Extension of Time Claims, Variations and Contract Deliverables in accordance with contracted timelines.
Monthly Reporting to both client and ODG and assessing the cost of Labour, Materials, Subcontractors, and expenses for the project.
Maintaining relationships with the client and client representative teams such as consultants, specialist nominated suppliers and design delivery parties.
Attending meetings representing ODG.
Call and conducting internal meetings to enable the coordination and communication of the Project team’s requirements and objectives.
Coordinate with the ODG - HR department to ensure the appropriate human resources are selected and onboarded to meet the project requirements.
Coordinate with ODG - HSE department to develop HSE plans, ensure HSE processes on site are effective and meet the customer expectations and is ultimately responsible for the HSE performance on the project.
Coordinate with the ODG - Quality department to develop quality plans, ensure the project has the right resources to effectively carry out quality inspection processes required to meet customer expectations.
Make decisions on the technology to be used on the project within the context of the organisation’s technology platforms to plan and manage the project. 

Contractual experience with reviewing and executing construction contracts.
Understand and working knowledge of construction project management.
Understand quantity surveying (technical drawings, specifications and BOQ) and prepare variation submissions.
Experience in identifying the appropriate level of resources - direct labor and supervision staff to manage the project.
Experience in planning and providing the essential resources to execute the scope of works, for example: scaffolding, heavy plant, light vehicles, buses, winches and cable puling equipment.
Lead and create a safety culture. ODG has a “Safety starts with me” guiding principle.
Be able to establish a safe working environment for the company’s employee’s and other employee’s working in the vicinity of our contracts.
Must have courage, be assertive and be a good leader.
Team building - Teamwork is an important part of this role, good interpersonal skills.
Analytical and problem-solving decision-making regarding risk and reward to the business.
Effective verbal and listening communications.
Effective written communications.
Implement sufficient project controls and monitor the ongoing progress of works.
High level of competence with Microsoft packages, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Be competent to understand and interpret Primavera P6 project schedules.
Have the business acumen to understand financial profit and loss reports.
Have an excellent level of technical knowledge in all areas of the relevant trade in contracting (electrical and instrumentation).

Engineering degree or trade qualifications in electrical field.
Having 10 years’ experience in electrical projects working as a Contractor delivering work.
Having experience in mining construction projects is essential.
Having a background in electrical, instrumentation and high voltage substations is a requirement.

Willing to work in a remote area in Indonesia and to live in a mining camp. 

Some previous mining construction work overseas is an advantage.

Some working Bahasa Indonesia communications skills desired but not essential.
