Instrument & Telecom Engineer in an LNG Facility plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation, and telecom systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of LNG Facility and all plant equipment performance achieve optimum reliability and performance and minimize downtime.


Some of your duties will include:

Initiate plans, policies and procedures for improving work efficiency, safety practices and on-going training in the Maintenance & Engineering Department.
Reviewing and monitoring plant IT systems performance in accordance with the established company goals and objectives.
Implement the plant’s maintenance program ensuring that all equipment’s high service reliability and performance.
Monitor plan effectiveness and recommend changes as required.
Plans and implements the LNG Facility plant’s turn around program and sees to it, that materials, spare parts and consumables are at hand and execution of activities are within the schedule.
Evaluates the training needs of the maintenance personnel and coordinate with Training Dept
Update the Engineering deliverables from EPC Contractor on AS-BUILT status with the latest modification, revisions made during operation and maintenance and ensuring the actual plant conditions are the same with the engineering drawings / diagrams / datasheets etc.
Design, configure, and specify instrumentation and control systems for LNG processes and equipment.
Implement control strategies to ensure safe and efficient facilities operations.
Design and oversee the implementation of telecommunications systems, including data networks, communication equipment, and security systems within the LNG Facility.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical, instrumentation, and telecom systems with overall LNG Facility.
Ensure seamless communication and coordination among different systems.
Participate in the layout and placement of electrical and instrumentation equipment to optimize performance and facilitate maintenance.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to avoid interference and conflicts.
Oversee the commissioning of instrumentation, and telecom systems.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure the proper functioning of all systems.
Design and implement safety instrumented systems (SIS) to protect personnel, equipment, and the environment.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Provide support for maintenance activities, including troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues and recommending improvements.
Develop and maintain documentation for maintenance procedures and schedules.
Work with procurement teams to specify and procure electrical, instrumentation, and telecom equipment.
Prepare SOW including engineering design deliverables (drawings, diagrams, datasheet etc.) for maintenance works to be performed by Contractors/service providers, then monitor the works in collaboration with Maintenance Department.
Ensure that procured materials meet specifications and standards.
Manage contractors/service providers during routine planned outage work.
Other duties as assigned.
 



What skills and experience do you need?

Holder of bachelor’s degree of Electrical/Physics/Instrumentation Engineering. Advanced degree or relevant certifications would be preferred.
Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant certifications in electrical / instrumentation engineering would be beneficial. (Telecommunication certificates only is not sufficient).
Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in electrical and instrumentation design, preferably in the LNG or oil and gas industry or petrochemical.
Experience with telecommunications systems would be advantageous.
Experience in Maintenance would be advantageous.
Experience with telecommunications systems would be advantageous.
Proficiency in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for instrumentation design.
Familiarity with simulation software and tools for control systems.
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, such as NEC, IEC, ISA, and others applicable to electrical, instrumentation, and telecom systems in LNG Facility.
Ability to manage IT design aspects within the overall project schedule and budget.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
Having Project Management Skills.
Good computer skills, be able to operate Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Good communication skill both verbal and in writing, specifically in Bahasa Indonesia and English language.
Maintains a valid car driver's license.
Willing to be based at site with regular working days (no rotation schedule)
