Redefine: Redefining Indonesia’s Crucial Sectors to Excel This Unprecedented Era
About KOMPeK
COVID-19 pandemic outbreak presented an unprecedented challenge to everyone, it is threatening not only healthcare systems, but also the livelihoods and social aspects of society and the stability of a country’s economy. The potential damage from a multidimensional crisis has forced us to take a step back and reflect on how we run our life in general. We must realize that the way we run our economy is vulnerable and perhaps we need to redefine it.
There are some sectors that can be classified as crucial sector in the context of COVID-19 pandemics and in practice, those sectors will certainly have a big role for us to solve the multidimensional crisis that we’re having right now. We can also use some metrics in order to define and classified those sectors, such as its relevance, linkage to the survival of society, and contribution to the economy. The crucial sectors can be generally divided into four group: Public Health, Food Securities, Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and Digital Economy. Knowing how significant the impact and contribution that these sectors have, especially in dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, it’s important for us to redefine how these sectors run in order to excel these unprecedented era and prepare us for the challenges ahead.
Therefore, KOMPeK 23 will take the theme “Redefine: Redefining Indonesia’s Crucial Sectors to Excel This Unprecedented Era”. With this theme, we hope that we are able to give value added to the society and increase the insight about crucial sectors in the midst of this pandemic.

[KOMPeK 23 COMPETITION : EXPLAINED]
Hello, KOMPeK 23 Enthusiasts!
We were very happy to see your good responses and interests to KOMPeK 23. Now for those who are still confused about which competitions to choose in KOMPeK 23, here's the detailed information.
Our competition consists of four categories: Economic Quiz (EQ), Economic Debate Competition (EDC), Business Challenge (BC), and Economic Research Paper (ERP).
Economic Quiz
• The oldest economic competition for High School Student in Indonesia, the standard of which is highly regarded to be on par with IEO (International Economic Olympiad). This competition is designed to test high school student's knowledge and understanding about economy comprehensively with various kinds of model in every round.
Economic Debate Competition
• Challenge participants’ analytical skill and confidence as they compete with 24 best teams from all around Indonesia. Using the asian parliamentary system where the participants are expected to understand about the hottest issues in economy.
Business Challenge
• Stimulates the participants to propose their potential businesses while being assisted by experts and successful entrepreneurs. We challenge the participants to innovate and develop products.
Economic Research Paper
• KOMPeK’s Economic Research Paper is suitable for those who seek to channel their critical thinking and problem solving in economy issues into a research paper.
